Jessica and Grace visit

We are so happy that Jessica and Grace drove all the way here to see us. We had such a great time!

Grace was so excited to see Khloe. She practically came running into my house. Jessica wasnt far behind. Grace got to hold Khloe and she did so good. She was so cute with her. She even brought her a little hat to wear.

They got here late Friday night and Joey was out with his friends, so it was just the girls at home. Grace stayed up way past all of our bedtimes and it showed the next day! We went to the beach and I think Jess and  I scared Grace for life of the ocean.. Jess was holding her hand and a wave came and she jumped but Jessica only had one hand so she fell and the wave went right over her head. She screamed SO loud!! So we just played in the sand.

Khloe had already been changed twice from spitting up and had a BLOWOUT at the beach so I had to change her a third time. We then made our way to this great little sushi place by our house. Joey and I love sushi and we wanted to show Jess the ropes. Grace had a BLAST using her chopsticks flinging rice EVERYWHERE. I wish I could say it was just as fun for me. This was the first time we took Khloe out to a restaurant! Umm yes not what I had in mind. She was hungry and tired and cried the whole time. I would feed her, go sit down and she would scream. she cried then I started to cry, Joey and Grace sat there eating and making a mess;) Jess tried to help but im stubborn! A cute lady saw me upset and came over and tried to convince me it would get easier... At this point I was exhausted and the emotions are still out of wack so I shoved some food in my mouth and got the heck out of there!!

When we got home poor Khloe was so exhausted she was like a little doll so Jess took some amazing pictures! She is so talented!! Check her out..http://confessionsofatiredmother.blogspot.com/

We got home and Jess decided she would cook dinner but instead she ordered $60 worth of food at Pizza Hut! We had pizza, breadsticks ( both sweet and regular), and pasta for a couple days afterwards! We were so Happy to have them here and I hated seeing them leave! I really miss my family so much and wish they could all come stay with us!!:) Here are a few pictures from the visit..

The first 3 weeks

WOW is all I can say, I never thought being a mom would take so much out of me. Don't get me wrong I am LOVING it all but wow is it tiring! In the first few weeks of Khloe's life we have been pretty busy. Joey had 10 days off so we got to spend that time just letting Khloe get to know us and we were learning how to adjust to a new baby.  And we have been taking LOTS of pictures..

I have to let you all know how great Joey is I will do a post just for him but right now I have to say how great he is to me and what an amazing dad he is! Khloe and I are truly lucky to have him!! When I got home from the hospital there were balloons and flowers here waiting.. he is so sweet

Khloe has been VERY alert since she was born, the doctor was shocked how alert and calm she was. She is such a great baby. She has also been VERY strong, she has been holding her head up since day one as well. So we give her tummy time till she cries and I swoop her up because I hate when she cries:) She also LOVES baths. We put lavender baby wash and lotion on her at night and that stuff is crazy amazing! After bath time she eats and then falls into a dead sleep. At first Joey and I got scared and would poke her tickle her and do anything to wake her, but she would just not open her eyes! She would finally open one and eye and we would feel better. Now we let her sleep cuz when Khloe sleeps at night mommy sleeps at night and that makes me happy!!:)

Khloe is cooing and smiling she also had her cord fall off at about a week and a half. She had her two week appointment and has already gained a little over a pound and grew and inch!! She is still wearing preemie clothes but they are getting a little tight. We are also switching to newborn diapers! We have had one to many blowouts this week so I am thinking her preemie diapers are getting a little small? Hopefully the newborns save us some outfit changes! Daddy and Khloe also love to take naps together..

I cant believe my baby will be 3 weeks this week. The time is flying by! I wish i could freeze time and just absorb every smile, cry, every single moment!

Khloe Mae Revay

The Story..................................

On Sunday the 22nd I had not been feeling well at all. I ended up going to labor and delivery and making sure everything was ok. The checked me and my cervix was soft but I was not dilated. They sent me home and Joey and I went to the mall and walked around for hours. I was so tired after that. I woke up in the middle of the night with "cramps" and since that day they did not stop! Tuesday (my due date) was the same way but the "cramps" were more intense. After explaining them to my sister and mom they said I think your having contractions. They were very inconsistent 20 mins apart 8 mins 30 mins 10 mins.. this went on all day. Wednesday  I woke up and they were WAY worse and getting closer together but still not 5 minutes apart (thats when I could go to labor and delivery). I was on about 5 hours total sleep since Sunday so I was very exhausted and thought maybe thats why I felt so terrible. My contraction were about 12 minutes apart all day long and each time got more painful. I sat around most of the day and when Joey got home from work I told him I think we should be prepared. Joey and I got into bed at about 10pm. At 12:45 I was awoke with yet another awful contraction. I tried every position possible to ease the pain as the morning hours went by  I knew I would be in the hospital soon there was no way these could keep going I was in so much pain. I waited till they were consistent and by 4:30 I woke Joey up with our bags ready to go.

Joey Ran around making sure we had everything while I was trying to hold it together and ease the pain. We made it to the hospital at around 5 am. I didn't want to call my family yet in case it was a false alarm. After they got me hooked up and asked what my pain was from 1 - 10.  I say "its a 10 its a 10" They checked me and I was dilated to a 1!!! I thought they were going to send me home.. Then the other nurse came in and told me to breath because this was going to hurt.. ( I will be skipping all the gory details) After a couple minutes of a pain I can not explain I was to a 4. Everything happened so fast the nurses were telling Joey and I things and running around. They left the room and I turn to Joey and  say" Are they keeping me or what? , He says babe I really have no clue whats going on" HAHA.. Finally the nurse comes back and I say" Am I having this baby or what" She says yes sweetie your having this baby" Those were the best words I have ever heard! I tell Joey call my mom and then the whirlwind began.

While Joey was calling everyone letting them know what was going on we were sent to the delivery room and they hooked me up to the IV took my blood got me dressed all the while  I am having these terrible contractions. They asked if I would like pain medication. YES PLEASE.. After they gave me this amazing stuff I was so much calmer and finally could think. Then came the epidural. Poor Joey was a little freaked out by the needle good thing I couldn't see what was going on! After a couple hours I was still at a 4, I was not dilating at all so they gave me the pitocin. As Joey went to get our bags ,all the sudden nurses came running in and had to flip me over put me on oxygen and do a bunch of other stuff.. I had to sit on my hand and knees( that was very difficult since my legs were numb) for a while. I guess my blood pressure shot up and Khloe's heart rate dropped. poor Joey walked in and was so worried. From then on I had to keep changing positions for her so it wouldn't drop again. I pushed for 3 long hours, the epidural had wore off on one side and I was exhausted.
Aug. 25th, 5:07pm.
5 lbs 13 oz. 18 1/12 inches

As they sucked the fluid out of her mouth she never screamed or really even cried. She just let out a little squeak. They placed her on my chest and she just looked up at me with her big beautiful eyes. I can not explain the feeling I had looking at her. The love I felt immediately for her is overwhelming everything around me was a blur. Is all I seen or heard was her. I will never forget that moment for as long as I live. It was the best moment  of my life. I knew at that moment that my life was now complete. I had Joey the most wonderful man I could ever dream of at my side and our daughter that is so perfect in my arms. Every pain, sleepless night, tears, the waiting, it was all more than worth this special blessing that is in my life.

Joey is not the best with blood, needles, anything like that so he couldn't cut the cord haha thats ok though I don't think I could of either! They took her and gave her a bath and still she didnt cry just looked around at everything. We were moved to the recovery room and we were there till Friday and discharged at around 11am.  Thankfully my amazing mom was able to be there and share this experience with me. After having a child of your own it really makes you appreciate your own mother that much more. She was so helpful and Joey and I both loved having her here with us. We wish all of our family could have been there but they will all be here with us soon enough and we cant wait!

Khloe is now 5 days old and we are loving every second with her! I am healing very well I am a little sore, tired and VERY puffy ( I am holding water like crazy) But overall I feel great and Khloe is doing great as well. Healthy as can be!

Well I just had a Birthday and My mom came and spent it with me! It was so nice to have her here! We didnt do much. She made me dinner and yummy cake. She also helped me finish up the baby's room. Joey woke up early and got me some really pretty flowers and a very sweet card! He also took my to a movie and dinner. Some people may want to go to a fancy dinner but I am a very simple girl we went to the mall and got Charley's.. They have a buffalo chicken sandwich and I absolutely LOVE it! We went to Inception, it was really good.. pretty crazy but it was good. I had a nice calm birthday now if my little one would come soon I would be really happy!
